Terms of Service

Please read these terms before placing an order with Laundry Phuket.

Laundry Phuket is a wash and fold laundry service with free pick up and delivery in Phuket. We collect your laundry from your hotel, condo or villa, wash it at our facility, and bring it back to you clean and folded. These terms explain how the service works, what we promise, and what we ask from you, so that everything is clear before you book.

1. Condition of your laundry before collection

When our driver collects your bag, the pick up takes only a few moments at your reception or at your door. It is not possible for our driver or our team to inspect every single garment in detail before washing.

This means we cannot always see whether an item already has:

  • stains,
  • discoloration,
  • small tears or loose seams,
  • weakened or thinning fabric,
  • damage from earlier washes,
  • fading,
  • or other existing defects.

Because we are not able to check the condition of your clothes before collection, we cannot accept responsibility for damage that was already present when the bag reached us. Please tell us before collection if a garment is delicate, valuable, already damaged, or needs special treatment. A short message on WhatsApp is enough, and it helps us take the right care of your clothes.

2. Number of items in your bag

Your bag is closed when we collect it. We do not open it at your door and we do not count the garments inside, so we have no way to verify how many items a bag contains at the moment of collection.

For this reason we cannot be held responsible for a disagreement about the number of items sent to us. If the exact count matters to you, please note the contents of your bag before handing it over, and tell us when you place your order.

3. Loss of an item

Every bag is handled with care and kept together throughout washing, drying and folding. Even so, because the contents of a bag cannot be checked or counted at collection, we are not able to accept responsibility for the loss of a garment.

Please also check pockets before sending your bag. We cannot be responsible for money, keys, cards, jewellery or any other object left inside a garment.

4. Stains and washing results

We are an experienced, professional laundry team in Phuket and we treat every bag with care. When we see a stain, we do our best to remove it and to return your laundry clean, fresh and neatly folded.

At the same time, we cannot promise that every stain will come out. The result depends on things that are outside our control, such as:

  • the type of stain (oil, wine, ink, sun cream, sand, and so on),
  • the type of fabric,
  • how old the stain is,
  • whether the stain was already treated or already washed before,
  • and the general condition of the garment.

Stain removal is therefore offered as a best-effort service, not as a guaranteed result.

5. Damage, shrinkage and responsibility

We put every effort into protecting your clothes. We follow professional washing practices, we separate loads, and we work to avoid damaging or shrinking any garment. On rare occasions, and despite that care, an incident can still happen.

Fabrics react differently to water, detergent and heat, and we cannot inspect each item beforehand. For that reason we cannot be held responsible for:

  • shrinkage,
  • colour fading,
  • colours bleeding onto other items,
  • changes in the texture or shape of a fabric,
  • damage caused by an existing weakness in the garment,
  • or other damage that happens despite reasonable care.

This does not mean we are indifferent when something goes wrong. If you are not happy with your laundry, contact us as soon as you receive it and we will look into what happened and discuss a fair solution with you.

6. How we dry your laundry

Our service uses tumble dryers only. This is what allows us to return your laundry dry, fresh and ready to wear. Outdoor line drying is not part of our service.

If you prefer, you can ask for low-heat drying when you place your order, and we will make reasonable efforts to follow that request. Please note that even with low heat we cannot guarantee that a garment will not shrink or change, because this depends on the fibres, the finish and the condition of each item.

7. New clothes and colours that run

New garments, and especially dark or brightly coloured ones, often release dye during their first few washes. That dye can transfer onto the other clothes in the same load.

If you send us clothes that are new, you must tell us when you place your order so that we can wash them separately. Without that information we have no way of knowing, and we cannot be held responsible for colour transfer from one garment to another.

8. What we ask from you

You know your clothes better than we do. Before collection, please tell us about:

  • new garments that may still release dye,
  • delicate garments (silk, wool, linen, lace, embroidery),
  • expensive or valuable clothing,
  • items that need special washing instructions,
  • items that must not be tumble dried,
  • and any damage you already know about.

Please also follow the care label from the manufacturer, and do not send us garments that require a specialised cleaning process we do not offer, such as dry cleaning or leather and suede treatment.

If you have something particularly valuable or fragile, please contact us before ordering. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right service for that item.

9. Pick up and delivery: what the price covers

A laundry pick up and delivery service is not the same as carrying your laundry to a laundromat yourself. Every order involves real work and real costs on our side:

  • the wages of our drivers and laundry staff,
  • fuel,
  • the journey to your hotel, condo or villa to collect the bag,
  • the return trip to our laundry facility,
  • washing, drying, folding and packing your laundry,
  • the delivery of the clean laundry back to you,
  • and the driver’s journey back.

Our aim is simple: a convenient, affordable and high-quality laundry service in Phuket, at a price that fairly covers our team, our drivers, our fuel and our laundry operations. Prices and turnaround times are confirmed with you when you place your order.

10. Acceptance of these terms

You must read and accept these Terms of Service before placing an order. By placing an order or using our laundry pick up and delivery service in Phuket, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted them.
